check out the CDC website as weell as the US Department of State (travel.state.gov)

The State Department website is the best bet but another place to get supplemental information is Lonely Planet's website.

Another good source is the Foreign office website. It's UK info for UK residents, but I don't see why it shouldn't be useful to others.
