Hi, im 24 and ive had a cold since Sunday, im not really sneezing, just coughing a lot, nose stuffed out, ears slightly blocked feeling tired bc of the cold. I am flying tomorrow from St. Louis to Tampa, FL. Im scared because ive never flown with a cold before. Im afraid i might die or something. I know people are going to say im a hypochondriac, but im serious. What should I do in this situation? Do I piss off my parents by telling them i need to cancel my flight bc of illness? Or do I suck it up and just fly? I don't want to get more sick.
Hope someone can help,
Thanks.

You can absolutely fly. I would pack a travel size bottle of hand sanitizer or wet wipes so that you can keep from spreading the germs to everyone else & prevent yourself from picking up other germs while you're imune system is a little vulnerable.

Lots of fluids & lots of rest, are as always, best for helping to get over a cold. If you don't have a connecting flight, & if someone is picking you up, you might want to take some Niquil once you board the plane. It would help with any congestion during the flight, and it would help you sleep.

But you will fine. Maybe a little miserable, but you'd feel that way anywhere you'll be cause of the cold.
