What happens if the channel tunnel floods while I'm in it?

I'm not worried.. but the thought has crossed my mind , what would happen if it started to leak then flooded.. we'd all drown surely!!... wouldn't we?...

It's been up and running for 14 years now and the only (reported) problem has been if and when there is a fire onboard - but in principle these lessons have been learnt as well. Construction of the tunnel was designed to take into account and eliminate risks such as flooding



That is not to say there is a 100% guarantee but hey, if you live life worrying about every single "what if" open to man, what kind of life is that - there's nowhere to run or hide!
