That's hardly an extreme change. I know that Reno is more arid than San Diego, but San Diego is not a tropical rainforest, either. It is common to experience light fog in the morning there, but in a few hours after sunrise, it burns off and stays mild and relatively dry throughout the rest of the day. You will not likely get sick.

That's a myth. Health studies on the news showed that the only reason people tend to get sick in the winter time is because everyone is cooped up in the same room/house all day, and any cold virus can spread to everyone. Although, I know I get seasonal migranes/allergies/sinus infections.

Well 20 degrees really isn't that big of a difference that you are too likely to get sick from it. But take lots of vitamins, and maybe even some of that stuff Zicam (?) which is supposed to shorten colds.

Not much, thats "climate sickness" But a 20 degree change isnt that bad. Getting lots of rest prior to your trip will help. I travel a lot so I know a bit about this

You don't get sick because of a temperature change....that is an old wives tale. You get sick from germs. Wash your hands often, and avoid other sick people.

cover your ears before you go into the cold. your ears are a open door to sickness. that's why when you get sick your ears hurt then your throat or head.

That is an old wives tale. You get a cold from a virus, not from forgetting your mittens.

you can't it's all humidity.

the most you can do put ear plugs in and run a little when you get in san diego.

just do a little jog and it should warm your body up to the temperature.
